PROFESSIONAL coaching sessions
1. Initial Meet
The initial meeting will be an introductory conversation to get to know the client and their specific needs. Discussions will be centered around goals and expecations for the sessions to follow and a plan of action will be developed to track desired outcomes. A Strong Interest Inventory career assessment tool will be sent to help the individual identify their current work interests and preferences based upon their personality.
2. Career Assessment & Exploration/Resume Discussion
The first official coaching session will involve a thorough interpretation of the Strong Interest Inventory to establilsh a baseline for exploring and identifying potential careers and educational paths that align with personal interests. A thorough discussion surrounding current resume/cover letter status will be had in order to begin the revamping process leading to professionally written documents that clearly highlight educational and career accomplishments.
3. Resume/Cover Letter Finalization
This session will follow up on the initial resume/cover letter conversation and the goals set for the revamping of the initial documents. The discussion will consist of going through the drafted content within the documents in order to bring both to finalization. Bullet statements will be thoroughly critiqued to ensure they are selling the individual's skillsets at the greatest level possible.
4. Networking/Elevator Pitch/LinkedIn Discussion
This session will center around the importance of communication and utilizing available resources to help identify and foster opportunities for career success. Possible gaps in networking strategies will be pinpointed and a plan of action will be developed to ensure every available networking opportunity is capitalized on. The importance of creating a LinkedIn account will be discussed and tips will be shared on how to incorporate the key elements from the resume into the individuals profile.
5. LinkedIn Review/Interviewing Discussion
This coaching session will follow up on the LinkedIn building process and a review of the created/edited page will be done to ensure it is highly effective in getting the individual noticed by potential employers. This session will also focus on the interviewing process and a plan will be developed to help the individual prepare for future interviews by establishing areas of improvement and what employers desire from candidates.
6. Wrap Up
This final session will be a recap of the entire coaching process and will be a means to reevaluate established goals and expectations. Any additional questions and concerns for moving forward will be addressed and answered.
